Created to accompany the exhibition Sargent's Venice, this 224-page book includes an extensive selection of the artist's Venetian works from all periods. In addition to 186 full-color reproductions, the book includes five essays by leading scholars on the artist, numerous 19th-century photographs of Venice, and a specially-commissioned map that marks the sites along the canals that Sargent painted.
